Each day, teachers can reward students who follow rules and get their work done in a timely manner by placing small prizes in the appropriate student's stocking such as pencils, erasers, or a candy cane. When a student gives the gift of respect toward another child or adult, teachers can allow them to write their name on a paper gift to staple underneath the tree. Teachers can hang inexpensive small stockings to a board, with each students name written on one. The elementary classroom is always an exciting place, but the energy level ramps up as the first winter snow falls and the new year approaches....
