How would I give an argument that the gold ring is (are) two separate objects?
Suppose you have a chunk of gold fashioned into a ring. How would I say they are two different objects??
The material has not changed, but a "chunk" is not a "ring". If "chunk" = A; then "ring" = not-A. That is the Law of (non-) Contradiction, as well as the Correspondence Theory of Truth.
